Franklin River

I was particularly impressed by the level of knowledge and professionalism exhibited by the river guides, Shaun and Anna. Whether it be tackling a difficult rapid, describing the fauna, flora and history of the area, preparing the campsite, producing amazing meals or subtly directing and supporting me in potentially dangerous situations, I always felt completely safe and comfortable.

Coast To Cradle Mountain Trek

Explore the wild and rugged region between Penguin, (a small coastal town in the north of the state) and Tasmania's iconic Cradle Mountain National Park. One of Tasmania's lesser known walking tracks this bushwalk offers a true wilderness experience encountering some of the less visited ranges in Tasmania. The 80 km track begins with coastal views and peaceful pastures but as we head south we soon trek along mountain ranges with open woodlands, rainforests, button grass plains, sub-alpine herb fields and stands of ancient King Billy, Celery Top and Pencil Pines. Walking approximately 15 km per day and carrying packs that weigh between 15 and 20kgs, this tour is ideal for those with previous bushwalking experience. This walk is also ideally combined with our Overland Track Tour from Cradle Mountain to Lake St. Clair.
