What trips can I win?

The winner can choose between two iconic Tasmanian Expeditions trips:

  • The Overland Track (CMT) – Tasmania’s most famous alpine trek, a full-pack journey across ancient highlands and through cool temperate rainforest.
  • Flinders Island Walking Adventure – In Comfort (FLI) – a Great Walk of Australia featuring day walks, coastal scenery and nights in our exclusive Eco-Comfort Camps by the beach.
How does the flight credit work?

The winner will receive a total AUD $500 flight credit to assist with travel arrangements. The credit will be applied when confirming your booking, and our team will work through the details with you directly.

How many people does the prize cover?

The prize is for one person only on your chosen trip.

When does the competition close?

Entries close at 11:59pm AEDT on Friday 24 October 2025. The winner will be drawn at random at our offices within 7 days of the closing date.

How will I know if I’ve won?

The winner will be contacted directly by email. If the winner does not respond within 14 days, a new winner will be drawn.

How fit do I need to be?

Both prize trips have different gradings:

  • Overland Track (CMT) – Graded Moderate (Grade 5), with up to 7–9 hours of trekking per day carrying a full pack.
  • Flinders Island (FLI) – Graded Introductory to Moderate (Grade 4), with day walks carrying only a light pack, supported with Eco-Comfort Camps.

You’ll need a good base level of fitness appropriate to the trip you choose.

Do I need to be subscribed to your emails?

Yes – by entering, you agree to receive emails from Tasmanian Expeditions. You may unsubscribe at any time, but please remain subscribed until after the winner is announced as all notifications are sent by email.

Are there any extra costs not covered by the prize?

Yes. The prize does not include items listed in the Trip Notes under “What’s Not Included”, such as:

  • Accommodation before or after the trip
  • Travel insurance (mandatory)
  • Equipment hire if required
  • Personal expenses and optional extras

Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Competition Period
Entries close at 11:59pm AEDT on Friday 24 October 2025. No entries will be accepted after this time.
2. Eligibility
  • Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years and over.
  • Entrants can be residents of Australia or overseas.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted.
  • Employees of World Expeditions Travel Group and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
3. Winner Selection
  • The winner will be drawn at random at the offices of Tasmanian Expeditions within 7 days of the competition closing.
  • The winner will be notified via email.
  • If the winner does not respond within 14 days, a new winner will be drawn.
4. Prize Details
  • The prize is the winner’s choice of one of the following trips operated by Tasmanian Expeditions:
    - The Overland Track (trip code CMT), or
    - Flinders Island Walking Adventure – In Comfort (trip code FLI).
  • A total $500 AUD flight credit will also be provided to assist with travel arrangements.
  • The trip must be undertaken in 2026, on available guaranteed scheduled departures.
  • The prize does not include any items listed in the Trip Notes under the “What’s Not Included” section, including:
    • Accommodation before/after the trip
    • Travel insurance
    • Equipment hire
    • Personal expenses
    • Any other optional extras
  • Prize is not transferable, not refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Trip Conditions
  • The winner must agree to Tasmanian Expeditions’ full Booking Terms and Conditions at the time of confirming their place.
  • The winner must meet the fitness and health requirements of the chosen trip, in line with the official trip grading.
  • A completed medical form may be required and is subject to approval under safe selection guidelines.
  • The prize trip must be on a departure that is already guaranteed to operate at minimum numbers.
6. Privacy
  • By entering, participants agree to receive marketing communications from Tasmanian Expeditions. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Personal details will be handled in accordance with World Expeditions Travel Group’s privacy policy.
